Tech Deptartment: Lenses for your camera

Wow...inventions like these make you think about being limitless. The ability we have to be smart enough to create something like this. To create a tool so advanced and technical, it really fascinates me.

You have to check this out! If you're into the National Geographic or like knowing how things work, you'll like this video. It's about 9 minutes but it's crazy to see how specific and intracte they are.

The way cameras work is ridiculous if you think about it. When you watch a movie, or look at a picture...just imagine what goes into it all.

Apple killing the Television??

This is crazy and as innovative as  you can think. I am an Apple head. I have a Macbook Pro. I live on my Mac working on Pro Tools. I try to push people to buy Mac's...they should just give me some money hah. But driving modern innovation is huge! It can keep you in the front of the pack (just ask Microsoft how it feels to be in the back watching Apple get ahead).

Now, outside of Apple taking over internet calling buy purchasing companies like iCall. They could possibly take over your TV as well.

Here's part of the story:

"...it could ultimately alter the economics of the television business. The service could undermine the big bundles of channels that cable, satellite and telecommunications companies, including ComcastDirecTV Inc., have traditionally sold in packages to subscribers."

Get the rest here.

Diving 35,000 feet - Wow!

Sir Richard Branson is one of the most inspiring entrepreneurs. He dares to be different, tests the resolve of men and evokes a thought process that pushes you to your limit. I always try to think outside the box. I push myself to effect people in that way. Somewhat like a playboy who pushes innovation to make life easier and better for others. Maybe one day soon ;-)

Why am I bringing him up? Well from the planes, submarines, cellphones, labels, going to space, all kinds of other projects he's excelled in...Branson is now putting together his own Oceanic Project!! This guy is ridiculous! Here is part of the story:

What hasn't been explored at all is the depths of the oceans. So we're in the process of building something called Virgin Aquatic, which is going to be submarines to go 35,000 feet underwater. The oceans need exploring - we know nothing about what's going on under 25,000 feet. I have an island called Necker Island and 15 miles from there is the deepest place in the whole of the Atlantic, the Puerto Rican Trench. It's quite likely that we'll set up a scientific and exploration center on Necker to send out expeditions to explore that trench and other trenches in the world.
The technical challenge is finding materials that can withstand the pressure at 35,000 feet. It's almost easier to build a spaceship to go into space than to build a vessel that can withstand the pressures at 35,000 feet. But we think we can do it.

What would you do if the President had to move everyone?

This is a crazy story! The president of a country (that's an island) is trying to pursue the possibility of moving everybody in his country to another island/country. Global Warming is effecting Male, Maldive so bad that it could be under water before we know it!

Such a beautiful place could...and probably will be gone! Here is an exerpt about the possible end of Male and the possible relocation of a country. Crazy just to say it!

"I'm here in the Maldives to write about the end of the world, or at least the end of this world, and climate change, that big bummer blackening the horizon. You know the story. Science says: This thing's coming, deal with it. And the president of the Maldives—the first democratically elected president—Mohamed Nasheed, is attempting to deal."

Guys Fashion: Think about it

I love fashion. Obviously, you need to have some money to be on top of the fashion game. I'm not saying you need to go to Barney's and spend $1,500 on a dress shirt but being able to be "versatile" with your wardrobe is big.

I'm not even sayin you have to have all name brand clothes either! I try to keep a look out on specific styles I don't have, certain colors with "daring" matches is always a good thing. Daring...I mean to more so be different. Something you can be comfortable with but at the same time feel confident with what you're wearing.

Fashion is awesome but at the same time it baffles me. What is fashion? So many people have there versions. You can say much of it is originality. You can say originality is fashion, being comfortable, being happy with how you're perceived. It's interesting because the people who say, "I don't care what others think" well I think you do. People spend money on clothes because they like it but others are going to see it, make a comment and it's going to make you feel good. I don't know, I could be wrong...but I don't think I am.

You can walk in a mall and see some baggy jeans, designer t-shirt and a NY cap while looking behind you and see someone else wearing some designer jeans, a button up and a beanie. Both of these people think they are fashionable. Both of them enjoy what they're wearing and they believe they are as original as it gets. You can't tell someone they aren't fashionable...You probably will anyway...I will but it is what it is.

Wow, I began this as a post to spotlight people in the public eye I respect when it comes to fashion. Well, you received a lot more information. It was all personal preference so take it for what it is.

PS

Bow Tie's are AWFUL! Worse fashion creation of all time. There is only a couple people on this planet that can pull it off. You, are probably not one of them (not trying to hate, jus sayin).

Sounds of the Universe?? This is crazy!

I'm a big fan of astronomy. I love learning about the universe, its stars and galaxies. It's nearly impossible to actually grasp how large our planet is in correlation to the universe. The conversation of life outside our planet is always intense...and in my eyes, it's ridiculous to think we are the only living organisms in the universe. Regardless, this is more so about this audio I just heard and read about.

This is crazy! I didn't know but the Voyager I and II that had traveled through Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus. While it did, it picked up these sounds. Not through a microphone because all of the audio is audible but it picked up on electromagnetic noise. Here is some of it:

Robert Lamb explains how they actually turned this into music. Enjoy

Inspirational Speeches -- Winston Churchill

"We shall fight them on the beaches" -- During the second World War

June 4th, 1940

"I have, myself, full confidence that if all do their duty, if nothing is neglected, and if the best arrangements are made, as they are being made, we shall prove ourselves once again able to defend our Island home, to ride out the storm of war, and to outlive the menace of tyranny, if necessary for years, if necessary alone.

At any rate, that is what we are going to try to do. That is the resolve of His Majesty's Government-every man of them. That is the will of Parliament and the nation.

The British Empire and the French Republic, linked together in their cause and in their need, will defend to the death their native soil, aiding each other like good comrades to the utmost of their strength.

Even though large tracts of Europe and many old and famous States have fallen or may fall into the grip of the Gestapo and all the odious apparatus of Nazi rule, we shall not flag or fail.

We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in France,

We shall fight on the seas and oceans,

We shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our Island, whatever the cost may be,

We shall fight on the beaches,

We shall fight on the landing grounds,

We shall fight in the fields and in the streets,

We shall fight in the hills;

We shall never surrender, and even if, which I do not for a moment believe, this Island or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our Empire beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the British Fleet, would carry on the struggle, until, in God's good time, the New World, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the old."

---------------
There's nothing like the words of a true orator. Speeches that move men and women to fight, whether it's for there country, themselves, there leader at the end of the day it's compelling and moving to see people stand for something. So much so that they'd die in its name.

Crazy Images! Love it

Post Apocalyptic NY and Tokyo --- This is dope!

Do you guys ever think about this stuff? Like what would happen, how you'd react, what the world be like? I know everybody's always talking about the end of the world (they actually do it all the time) but it's always an interesting conversation to have with friends.

People that Inspire (Cassius Clay -- before Ali)

A man who inspires entertainers, fighters, leaders on every level. His bravado, enduring spirit, ability to connect to generations is unparalleled. His face and voice is timeless. Here are some great shots of him before he converted to the Muslim faith and changed his name to who we now know as Muhammad Ali. (I might name my kid Cassius...awesome name! And look at him runnin that suit! lol)

Def Poetry Jam (Talib)

Talib Kweli...This guy puts words together like a true poet. He uses the phrase "Wordsmith", no better way to put it.

A War defined with Words

I was born in Lebanon. I have a large family there. I have an even larger family all over the world. The country of Lebanon has been under siege for many years. Wars over land, cultural misunderstanding, money and greed.

A couple years ago Lebanon and Israel clashed once again. In 2006 this "war" displaced more then 1,000,000 Lebanese and nearly 400,000-500,000 Israelis. It lasted 34 days in the South border of Lebanon but the Lebanese people were at the will of a private militia group that is Lebanese bread but has separated its people in half. The ones who believe the Hezbollah is helping them and the others that think they are paralyzing the country. Regardless, this war took a much higher tole on Lebanon then it did to Israel. This video I came across a while back says a lot. Very introspective, deep and emotional. Check it out

A book to add to your collection (if you even have a collection)

I used to be that guy that looks for pictures in books. Seriously, I hated reading, but after reading this book it drove me to WANT to read. I look forward to finding content that makes me think, that pushes me to want more.

The way Malcolm Gladwell breaks information down, analyzes simple issues and wraps it up at the end of each chapter is genius. I don't know him, (tried to meet him, his publicist actually replied and said he was to busy. But that was cool right? lol)

Enjoy! --- The Tipping Point

PS...Outliers was awesome as well. Any of his books is worth it.

Why would you be here? Who is me?

I think I'm a vet at surfing the net. I've done it for many years now and at this moment in time...I tend to run into the same story. Celebrity news, gossip, regurgitated information, photo bombs (which I love), etc. I am seldom to find enough information that moves me. Nothing with true substance. I believe inspiration is an indelible quality and necessity we need to advance. I'm not saying your going to find all that, but you'll find some of it.

-------------------

Me...is you. Inspiredbyme is inspirational content whether pictures, videos, stories, events, texts...whatever I can find that inspires me...I'm posting it. If you think you have something, send it to over! Hope you come back for your "daily dose of inspiration."

Peace/Love .... Enjoy!
